THE VOICE OF THE BUSINESS SECTOR: BBH PARTNER PROF. DR. INES ZENKE APPOINTED AS NEW PRESIDENT OF THE SPD ECONOMIC FORUM

Today, the members of the SPD Economic Forum elected the new board of the association for the next two years. BBH partner Prof. Dr. Ines Zenke was appointed as the new president of the business association.

Lawyer Prof. Dr. Ines Zenke will now chair the SPD Economic Forum as president after having served as vice president since 2015. After seven years spearheading the association, her predecessor Dr. Michael Frenzel decided not to stand again as a candidate.

“I would like to thank the members of the association for placing their trust in me and Michael Frenzel for his outstanding work in laying the groundwork for and establishing the Economic Forum since the day it was founded. The next couple of years are going to be decisive in terms of economic policy. A successful energy and climate transition can only be a joint endeavour with both politics and businesses on board. As the voice of the business community, the SPD Economic Forum will continue to make an important contribution in that regard. I am pleased to have been given the opportunity to help achieve this task”, says Zenke.
