The expanded edition of Energierecht und Energiewirklichkeit [energy law and energy reality] has just been published by the publishing house Energie & Management. The book was edited by BBH partner Prof. Christian Held and Dr. Simon Schäfer-Stradowsky, managing director of the Institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility e.V. (IKEM).
“Energierecht und Energiewirklichkeit helps readers understand the trends in the energy sector and recognise the path of future development,” explains BBH partner and chairman of IKEM’s advisory board Prof. Christian Held. Following the first edition released seven years ago, he is again the editor, but this time together with IKEM’s managing director Dr. Simon Schäfer-Stradowsky.
The energy industry is characterised by 15,500 regulations. In addition, it is subject to constant change resulting from the implementation of the energy transition. With this handbook, which is not specifically aimed at lawyers, the authors are helping readers find their way through the confusing complexity of laws and regulations. Students of engineering and economics as well as practitioners in the energy industry are also provided with methodological tools in this expanded edition to gain a better understanding of today’s complex energy world.
Becker Büttner Held is a leading provider of advisory services for energy and infrastructure companies and their customers. Energy and supply companies, particularly public utilities, municipalities and local authorities, industrial companies and international groups are among its core clients. BBH advises these and many other companies and organisations in all legal matters and also assists them with business and strategic advice.
