The Wolf Büttner Prize 2022 goes to the learning support centre of the association Miteinander Wohnen e.V. Frankfurt/Oder
It is already for the second time that BBH is donating the 5,000 euro prize to a non-profit organisation in memory of the law firm’s founder Wolf Büttner, who passed away in 2020. This year, the prize goes to the learning support centre of the association Miteinander Wohnen e.V. which was proposed by the municipal utility Stadtwerke Frankfurt/Oder with Torsten Röglin as managing director. Jan Eckardt, chairman of the association’s board, emphasises how important the donation is, saying that this money is much needed especially during the pandemic where it is crucial to support families that, for example, cannot afford computers when their children have to learn online.
“The award committee of the Wolf Büttner Prize has decided to award the Wolf Büttner Prize this year to the learning support centre of the association Miteinander Wohnen e.V. in Frankfurt/Oder. The learning support centre helps children and young people from low-income families improve their education opportunities. An initiative that – I am convinced – the founder of our law firm, Wolf Büttner, would have liked very much,” states Prof. Christian Held.
Becker Büttner Held is a leading provider of advisory services for energy and infrastructure companies and their customers. Energy and supply companies, particularly public utilities, municipalities and local authorities, industrial companies and international groups are among its core clients. BBH advises these and many other companies and organisations in all legal matters and also assists them with business and strategic advice.
